Welcome to Printopo. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operator of Printopo (“Printopo”, “we”, “us”), reachable through our contact form. By using printopo.com (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Printopo generates downloadable 3D models (such as STL, GLB, SVG and DXF files) of geographic areas you select, built from public and government open data sources. The Service is delivered entirely online; nothing physical is shipped.
You can try the Service without an account. Creating an account (via email sign-in link or Google) unlocks higher usage limits and is required for paid plans. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep access to your sign-in email secure, and not to share or resell account access. You are responsible for activity under your account. One account per person, please.
Every feature of the Service is available on every plan. Plans differ only in how many model generations you can run:

A generation attempt counts toward your limit when it starts. If a generation fails because of an error on our side and this meaningfully affects your allowance, contact us and we will make it right. We may adjust limits to protect the Service; material reductions to a paid plan will be announced in advance and entitle you to cancel with a pro-rated refund of the current period.
Paid subscriptions are sold and processed by FastSpring, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. FastSpring handles checkout, payment collection, sales taxes and VAT, and payment security; your payment details are provided to FastSpring, not to us. FastSpring’s own terms and privacy policy apply to payment processing.
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until canceled. Prices are shown in US dollars; local taxes may be added at checkout depending on your country. If we change a plan’s price, the new price applies from your next renewal after at least 30 days’ notice.
You can cancel at any time from the account menu in the app (“Manage subscription”) or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future charges; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for refunds.
You may use the models you generate for personal and commercial purposes, including selling physical prints of them. Note that models are derived from open data whose licenses travel with the output:
You are responsible for complying with those attribution requirements when you share or sell models. We claim no ownership of your generated models.
You agree not to: (a) access the Service by automated means or circumvent usage limits; (b) resell, share or pool plan quota outside your own use or organization seat; (c) interfere with or disrupt the Service; (d) use the Service for unlawful purposes; or (e) misrepresent generated models as certified survey products.
Models are generated automatically from public data of varying age and precision. They are intended for visualization, making, education and design study. They are not survey products and must not be relied on for navigation, construction, engineering, legal boundary, emergency or other safety-critical decisions.
We aim to keep the Service available but provide it “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of uninterrupted operation. We may add, change or remove features. If we discontinue the paid Service entirely, we will refund the unused portion of any active subscription period.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or US$10 if you paid nothing). We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms; if we terminate a paid account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of the current period.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page (and by email for paid subscribers) at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
